MEET THE COACH  

Coach Martin is the Defensive Coordinator at Marvin Ridge High School in Waxhaw, NC. He most recently served as the Head Football Coach and Defensive Coordinator at Cannon School in Concord, NC. He is the owner and founder of Vital Tackling Academy LLC. He is certified through Atavus Tackling and has both Level 1 and Level 2 Tackling Certifications. He is also certified through USA Football for Youth Tackling. 

Coach Martin has coached football for over 10 years and previously served as a coordinator at York Comprehensive High School, Legion Collegiate Academy, and Waccamaw High School. He played college football on the inaugural team at Limestone College. He is highly motivated to grow the game of football and loves to work with players of all ages.  

Coach Martin spends the off-season studying new strategies and techniques to continuously adapt his training methods. He enjoys teaching and training kids in the offseason to help improve their performance and confidence. He is passionate about the platform of football and loves how it provides many qualities that shape young men on and off the field.
